For this vintage, we sourced Pommard Clone 4 grapes from “Pinot Hill Vineyard”, a north facing hillside site whose proximity to the ocean allows the fruit to be warmed and cooled by alternating sun and fog. The result? An intense, richly colored wine that is ethereal on the palate; notes of local Bing cherries and raspberries are pronounced. Like the mountain lions who still prowl these vineyards, this is a gorgeous wine that is agile, and, due to its limited run, fleeting.
